Presentation Summary: : Population census data provide official counts of all people residing in a country including information about their gender, age, education, income and other key factors. This data combined with business, labor force and other official statistics are needed in decision making across government. This data can be used for many decisions, from dividing up political representation, to understanding needed services for citizens and allocating funds, as well as in economic development, planning, disaster response and public safety. In this session we will look at the type of users National Statistical Offices serve; the information products needed and share best practices on how to make this authoritative data easily discoverable and accessible to citizens and govt agencies alike.
