The (NCSI) is participating in the Hackathon Sohar, which is organized by Oman Global Logistics Group (Asyad) in cooperation with the Smart City Platform, at Sohar International Maritime College Oman. Around 100 participants will be present at the three-day event, which begins on January 10.

During this event, the NCSI will provide data and information support and guidance to the participants. It also has a data corner at the hackathon. The activities of the hackathon will continue till January 12. Participants will be involved in finding innovative solutions to the logistical, tourism and environmental challenges in the Wilayat Sohar.

Hackathon Sohar is an effort to create teams of designers, developers, data analysts, entrepreneurs and innovators who work in different sectors to come up with a variety of ideas. Teams are formed for different sectors targeted by the event. These teams include programmers, entrepreneurs, marketing managers, and innovators. During the event, they work under the supervision of a group of mentors and experts from the concerned.
