- 10.4 billion OMR the value of GDP at Current Prices in the first Quarter of 2024
The gross domestic product at current prices of the Sultanate of Oman at the end of the first quarter of 2024 (from January to March 2024) recorded a rise of 0.8% to reach (at market price) RO 10,442.0 million, compared to the end of the first quarter of 2023, during which the GDP at current prices reached RO 10,362.7 million, according to preliminary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
There was a drop in Petroleum activities by 3.8% to RO 3,520.5 million at the end of the first quarter of 2024 compared to RO 3,660.5 million at the end of the same period of 2023.
Crude Petroleum activities declined by 4.4% to RO 2,996.0 million, and natural gas activities fell by 0.1% to reach RO 524.4 million.
Non-oil activities increased by 3.9% to RO 7,188.5 million by the end of the first quarter of 2024 compared to RO 6,920.0 million at the end of the first quarter of 2023.
The total industrial activities recorded RO 2,018.4 million, compared to RO 1,912.6 million at the end of the first quarter of 2024, while agriculture, forestry and fishing activities recorded RO 277 million, and service activities recorded RO 4,893.1 million.
