<p> <span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><strong>Owing to the National Statistics and Information Centre&rsquo;s efforts to ensure the quality of statistical work within the Sultanate, a manual for national statistical data and indicators has been prepared in order to improve the efficiency of the use of these data and indicators and facilitate their circulation among different bodies in a more effective way. The guide seeks to eliminate any ambiguous or conflicting facts so as to enhance confidence in the data and indicators issued by the Centre.</strong></span></span></p> <p> <span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><strong>The centre plays the main role in collecting, revising, processing and analysing the data issued by the various bodies within the Sultanate. It was imperative to prepare this guide, which contains the definition for each indicator and the method of calculating it by using mathematical equations and units of measurement.
