​The Executive Technical Committee of the Oman National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) held its fifth meeting of this year on October 9 at the premises of the Centre.

During the meeting, the policy of using the spatial portal of the Oman National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) was reviewed. The participants also discussed the proposal for study of geographic information systems maturity in government institutions. It was agreed in principle to form a team of members of the committee to develop the general perception and supervision of the study. A follow-up report on updating the data in the national geospatial database was also reviewed during the meeting. The meeting also discussed a number of other topics, which were on the agenda, and the minutes of the fourth meeting were adopted.
