The Sultanate of Oman's oil exports recorded a rise of 2% at the end of April 2024 to reach 103,549.1 million barrels compared to the corresponding period in 2023 when it was 101,548.1 million barrels, according to the data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
According to NCSI statistics, the production of oil in the Sultanate of Oman fell by 5.6% at the end of April 2024 to reach 120,651.2 million barrels compared to 127,768 million barrels during the corresponding period in 2023.
Crude oil production decreased by 8.2%, while the production of condensates rose by 4% at the end of April 2024 compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
Average oil price fell by 2.1% to reach USD 80 per barrel at the end of April 2024, compared to USD 81.7 per barrel at the end of April 2023. Average daily production also fell by 6.4% at the end of April 2024.
As far as exports are concerned, Oman's oil exports to China recorded a rise by 7.5% to reach 100,048.4 million barrels at the end of April 2024 compared to 93,100.7 million barrels in the same period of 2023. Oil exports to India dropped by 100% and that of South Korea rose by 100%.
Meanwhile, gas production (including imports) in Oman rose by 1.8% to reach 17,832.2 million cubic metres at the end of April 2024 compared to 17,521.5 million cubic metres at the end of April 2023.
Consumption of natural gas in industrial areas fell by 3.6% at the end of April 2024 compared to the corresponding period in 2023. Further, natural gas consumption increased by 7.9% in electricity power plants, and by 10.1% in industrial projects, whereas consumption in oil fields fell by 21.2%.
