The treaded value of real estate transactions in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 28.1% to RO 3,130.8 million till the end of November 2024, compared to RO 2,444.6 million in the same period of 2023, according to the latest data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
According to preliminary statistics issued by NCSI, fees collected for all legal action's transactions amounted to RO 62.1 million till the end of November 2024, an increase of 2.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
The traded value of sale contracts reached RO 1,001.7 million till the end of November 2024, and the number of sale contracts increased by 1.9% to 61,552, compared to 60,424 in the same period of 2023.
The traded value of mortgage contracts increased by 44.8% till the end of November 2024 to RO 2,116.8 million compared to RO 1,462.2 million during the same period of 2023. Meanwhile, the number of mortgage contracts decreased by 12.2% to 18,846 contracts from 21,461 contracts in the same period of 2023.
The traded value of barter contracts increased by 18.1% to RO 12.4 million till the end of November 2024 compared to RO 10.5 million in the same period of 2023. The number of barter contracts decreased by 6.1% to reach 1,223 contracts till the end of November 2024 compared to 1,302 contracts in November 2023.
The number of properties issued by the end of November 2024 decreased by 3.4% to 210,483, whereas the number of properties issued to citizens of GCC countries increased by 6.8% to 1,325 compared to 1,241 till the end of November 2023.
