The Sultanate of Oman's total amount of oil exported recorded a decreased of 0.6% until the end of December 2024 to reach 308,422.1 thousand barrels compared to the corresponding period in 2023 when it was 310,331.2 thousand barrels, according to the data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
According to NCSI statistics, the production of oil in the Sultanate of Oman decreased by 5.1% until the end of December 2024 to reach 363,288.5 thousand barrels compared to 382,770.2 thousand barrels during the corresponding period in 2023.
Crude oil production decreased by 6.5%, while the production of condensates remained decreased by 0.2% until the end of December 2024 compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
Average oil price fell by 1.4% to reach USD 81.2 per barrel until the end of December 2024, compared to USD 82.3 per barrel until the end of December 2023. Average daily production also decreased by 5.4% until the end of December 2024.
As far as exports are concerned, Oman's oil exports to China recorded a increased by 1.3% to reach 289,216.8 thousand barrels until the end of December 2024 compared to 285,642.5 thousand barrels in the same period of 2023. Oil exports to South Korea and India increased by 10.6%, while those of Japan decreased by 39.7%.
Meanwhile, gas production (including imports and local production) in Oman increased by 4.9% to reach 56,542.4 MNCM until the end of December 2024 compared to 53,925 MNCM until the end of December 2023.
Consumption of natural increased by 72.2% in power generation plants, whereas consumption in industrial areas, industrial projects, and oil fields decreased by 3.2%, 8.2%, and 8.5%, respectively, at the end of November 2024.
