The traded value of
real estate transactions in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 29.6% to RO
3,379.8 million till the end of December 2024, compared to RO 2,607.1 million
in the same period of 2023, according to the latest data released by the
National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
According to
preliminary statistics issued by NCSI, fees collected for all legal
transactions amounted to RO 69 million till the end of December 2024, an
increase of 6.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
The traded value of
sale contracts reached RO 1,094.9 million till the end of December 2024, and
the number of sale contracts increased by 3.8% to 68,136 compared to 65,649 in
the same period of 2023.
The traded value of
mortgage contracts increased by 46.4% till the end of December 2024 to RO
2,271.9 million compared to RO 1,551.5 million during the same period of 2023.
Meanwhile, the number of mortgage contracts decreased by 9.2% to 20,680
contracts from 22,774 contracts in the same period of 2023.
The traded value of
barter contracts increased by 16.9% to RO 13.1 million till the end of December
2024 compared to RO 11.2 million in the same period of 2023. The number of
barter contracts decreased by 4.9% to reach 1,325 contracts till the end of
December 2024 compared to 1,394 contracts in the same period of 2023.
The number of
properties issued by the end of December 2024 decreased by 0.9% to 233,345,
whereas the number of properties issued to citizens of GCC countries increased
by 10% to 1,447 compared to 1,316 till the end of December 2023.
