العمل عبارة عن دراسة تحليلية لخصائص الباحثين عن عمل في سلطنة عمان، وتعنى الدراسة بخصائص الباحثين وأنماط توزيعهم، وتعد من أهم الدراسات التي تساعد متخذي القرار على التخطيط ووضع البرامج التي تستهدف إدماج الباحثين عن العمل في عمليات وبرامج التنمية. اهتم المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات بإصدار مجموعة من الدراسات الدورية التي تلقي الضوء على حجم وتوزيع السكان وأنماط نموهم، وفي هذه الدراسة نلقي الضوء على الباحثين عن عمل وتوزيعهم على محافظات وولايات السلطنة، وكذلك خصائصهم حسب المسكن والأسر المعيشية، وخصائصهم الديموغرافية، وتوزيعهم حسب النوع وعلاقتهم برب الأسر، ويشمل أيضا خصائصهم التعليمية، ووضعهم الاقتصادي، وذلك وفقا لبيانات ونتائج تعداد السكان والمساكن لعام 2010 في سلطنة عمان.
