أصدر المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات تقريرًا إحصائيًّا حول حجاج سلطنة عُمان لعام 1447هـ / 2026م، استعرض أبرز المؤشرات المتعلقة بأعداد الحجاج وخصائصهم الديموغرافية والجغرافية وأنماط النقل المستخدمة. وأوضح التقرير أن إجمالي عدد الحجاج من سلطنة عُمان بلغ نحو 14 ألف حاج خلال عام 2026م، فيما بلغ معدل الحجاج 3.6 حاج لكل ألف من السكان البالغين 18 سنة فأكثر. وأشار التقرير إلى أن الذكور شكلوا 51 بالمائة من إجمالي الحجاج بعدد بلغ 6885 حاجًّا، مقابل 6599 حاجة من الإناث بنسبة 49 بالمائة، فيما استحوذ العُمانيون على 97 بالمائة من إجمالي الحجاج مقابل 3 بالمائة للوافدين. وبيّنت البيانات أن الفئة العمرية من 45 إلى 49 عامًا سجلت النسبة الأعلى من إجمالي الحجاج خلال عام 2026م بنسبة 17 بالمائة، تلتها الفئة العمرية من 40 إلى 44 عامًا بنسبة 16 بالمائة. وفيما يتعلق بالتوزيع الجغرافي، تصدرت محافظة مسقط محافظات سلطنة عُمان من حيث عدد الحجاج بإجمالي بلغ 3397 حاجًّا، تلتها محافظة شمال الباطنة بـ 2445 حاجًّا، ثم محافظة جنوب الباطنة بـ 1683 حاجًّا. كما سجلت محافظة الظاهرة أعلى معدل للحجاج لكل ألف من السكان بعمر 18 سنة فأكثر بواقع 4.5 حاج. وذكر التقرير أن النقل الجوي استحوذ على النسبة الأكبر من حركة نقل الحجاج خلال عام 2026م بنسبة 78 بالمائة وبعدد بلغ 10966 حاجًّا، مقابل 22 بالمائة للنقل البري بعدد 3034 حاجًّا. كما بلغ متوسط تكلفة الحج للفرد عبر النقل الجوي 2013 ريالًا عُمانيًّا، مقابل 1647 ريالًا عُمانيًّا للنقل البري.

The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has issued a statistical report on pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman for 1447 AH / 2026, highlighting key indicators related to the number of pilgrims, their demographic and geographic characteristics, and mean of transport used. The report indicated that the total number of pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman reached approximately 14,000 during the 2026, with a pilgrim rate of 3.6 pilgrims per thousand residents aged 18 years and above. The report noted that males constituted 51% of the total pilgrims, numbering 6,885, compared to 6,599 female pilgrims, representing 49%. Omani nationals accounted for 97% of the total pilgrims, compared to 3% for expatriates. The data showed that the age group 45 to 49 years recorded the highest percentage of total pilgrims during 2026, at 17%, followed by the age group 40 to 44 years at 16%. In terms of geographic distribution, the Governorate of Muscat ranked first among the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman in the number of pilgrims, with a total of 3,397 pilgrims, followed by the Governorate of North Al Batinah with 2,445 pilgrims, and then the Governorate of South Al Batinah with 1,683 pilgrims. The Governorate of A’Dhahirah recorded the highest rate of pilgrims per thousand residents aged 18 years and above, at 4.5 pilgrims. The report stated that air transport accounted for the largest share of pilgrim movement during 2026, at 78%, with 10,966 pilgrims, compared to 22% for land transport, with 3,034 pilgrims. The average cost of pilgrimage per individual via air transport was OMR2,013, compared to RO 1,647 for land transport.

ينظم المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات خلال الفترة من 2 إلى 4 يونيو المقبل ورشة عمل متخصصة تهدف إلى تعزيز المعرفة الإحصائية والاقتصادية لدى منتسبي مكاتب المحافظين، ورفع كفاءة الأداء الإحصائي والمعلوماتي. وتتناول ورشة العمل آليات ومنهجيات انتاج الإحصاءات والمؤشرات الإحصائية والحسابات الاقتصادية الكلية وتعريف المشاركين بمنهجيات احتساب القيمة المضافة للأنشطة غير النفطية للمحافظات وذلك وفقًا للتصنيفات المعيارية المعتمدة دوليًّا. وقال الفاضل عبد العزيز بن خميس بن محمد السنيدي مدير دائرة الحسابات القومية بالمركز: تأتي ورشة العمل استكمالاً لجهود المركز الرامية إلى تطوير الكفاءات الوطنية وتمكين المختصين في المحافظات من الإلمام بالمعارف والمهارات الإحصائية والمعلوماتية اللازمة لدعم عمليات التخطيط ورسم السياسات واتخاذ القرارات المبنية على البيانات والأدلة. وأضاف أن الورشة تتضمن عدد من أوراق العمل والمحاور ذات الأهمية المعرفية والأبعاد الاستراتيجية التي تسهم في تعزيز الفهم والإدراك لأهمية البيانات والإحصاءات في مختلف مجالات التنمية الشاملة ، بما ينعكس إيجابًا على أداء المحافظات وأدوارها التنموية. ويواصل المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات تنظيم سلسلة من البرامج التدريبية والورش المتخصصة، انطلاقًا من دوره الوطني في دعم صنع القرار القائم على بيانات ومؤشرات إحصائية دقيقة وموثوقة، وتعزيز القدرات الإحصائية الوطنية بمختلف الجهات الحكومية والمحافظات.

The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) organised on Tuesday a specialised workshop aimed at enhancing statistical and economic knowledge among the personnel of governors' offices and raising the efficiency of statistical and informational performance. The workshop, which runs for several days, covers the mechanisms and methodologies for producing statistics, statistical indicators, and macroeconomic accounts. It also introduces participants to the methodologies for calculating the value added of non-oil activities for the governorates in accordance with internationally approved standard classifications. Abdulaziz Khamis Al Sunaidi, Director of the National Accounts Department at the National Centre for Statistics and Information, stated that this workshop comes as a continuation of the Centre's efforts to develop national capabilities and enable specialists in the governorates to acquire the statistical and informational knowledge and skills necessary to support planning processes, policy-making, and data- and evidence-based decision-making. He added that the workshop included a number of working papers and themes of cognitive importance and strategic dimensions that contribute to enhancing the understanding and perception of the importance of data and statistics in various areas of comprehensive development, thereby reflecting positively on the performance of the governorates and their developmental roles. The National Centre for Statistics and Information continues to organise a series of training programmes and specialised workshops to support decision-making based on accurate and reliable data and statistical indicators, and to enhance national statistical capacities across various government entities and governorates.

في إطار سعيه المستمر لتطوير أدواته الاتصالية وتعزيز حضوره التوعوي لدى مختلف فئات المجتمع، أطلق المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات شخصيتيه الكرتونيتين الجديدتين “مازن” و“مزنة”، وهما طفلان عُمانيان يبلغان من العمر 12 عامًا، ليشكّلا منصة تفاعلية مبتكرة تستهدف فئة الأطفال، وتسهم في تبسيط مفاهيم الإحصاء والمعلومة العامة بأسلوب سهل وجاذب. ويأتي هذا الإطلاق ضمن توجهات المركز نحو تعزيز هويته البصرية ، وتقديم محتوى معرفي حديث يتناسب مع خصائص الفئات العمرية الناشئة، حيث تم تصميم الشخصيتين ليجسدا الطابع العُماني في القيم والسلوك والمحتوى، بما يعزز ارتباط الأطفال بهما ويزيد من فاعلية الرسائل التوعوية المقدمة. ويندرج إطلاق “مازن ومزنة” ضمن مستهدفات استراتيجية الاتصال للمركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات (2026–2030)، والتي تركز على تطوير أدوات التواصل المؤسسي، وتعزيز الوصول إلى مختلف فئات المجتمع عبر محتوى مبتكر وتفاعلي، يسهم في تبسيط المفاهيم الإحصائية، ويرسّخ الثقافة القائمة على البيانات، وبخاصة لدى الأجيال الناشئة. وقد استند تطوير الشخصيتين واختيار اسميهما إلى القيم المؤسسية للمركز، المتمثلة في: الشراكة، الإتاحة، المهنية، إدارة المعرفة، والشفافية، بما يضمن اتساق الرسائل المقدمة مع الهوية المؤسسية، ويعزز من حضور هذه القيم في المحتوى الموجه للأطفال. كما يعكس اختيار اسمي “مازن” و“مزنة” بُعدًا دلاليًا يعزز من الرسالة التوعوية للمبادرة؛ إذ يُعد “مازن” من الأسماء العربية التي ترتبط بالسحاب الممطر، بما يحمله من رمزية الخير والعطاء، فيما يشير اسم “مزنة” إلى السحابة المحمّلة بالمطر، في دلالة على الوفرة والنماء. ويجسد هذا الترابط بين الاسمين مفهومًا متكاملًا يعكس دور البيانات والمعلومات في إثراء المعرفة ودعم اتخاذ القرار، حيث تأتي هذه الدلالات منسجمة مع رسالة المركز في نشر الوعي الإحصائي بأسلوب مبسط وقريب من مختلف فئات المجتمع، وبخاصة الأطفال. ويهدف المركز من خلال “مازن ومزنة” إلى تقديم تجربة تعليمية تفاعلية تسهم في ترسيخ الفهم المبكر لأهمية البيانات، وذلك عبر محتوى متنوع يشمل المنشورات الرقمية، والمقاطع المرئية، والأنشطة التعليمية، والتطبيقات الذكية، إلى جانب إمكانية توظيف الشخصيتين في أدوات تفاعلية حديثة، بما يدعم التواصل المباشر مع الجمهور. كما روعي في تصميم الشخصيتين عدد من الاعتبارات الثقافية والتربوية، من أبرزها استلهام البيئة العُمانية، وسهولة النطق والتداول بين الأطفال، وملاءمة المحتوى للفئة العمرية المستهدفة، إلى جانب تضمين أبعاد تعليمية وقيمية تعزز السلوكيات الإيجابية وتنمّي مهارات التفكير والتحليل. ومن المتوقع أن تسهم هذه المبادرة في تعزيز الوعي الإحصائي لدى الأطفال، وتحفيز اهتمامهم بالأرقام والبيانات، من خلال تقديمها في قالب مبسط يجمع بين التعليم والترفيه، بما يواكب توجهات التحول الرقمي ويسهم في بناء جيل واعٍ بأهمية المعلومات ودورها في فهم المجتمع. وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن هذه المبادرة تعكس التزام المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات بتبنّي أساليب مبتكرة في التواصل المجتمعي، وتطوير محتوى توعوي فاعل يعزّز الثقافة الإحصائية، ويساند جهود بناء مجتمع معرفي قائم على البيانات.

The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has launched two new cartoon characters, Mazen and Muzna, as part of an innovative initiative aimed at introducing children to the world of statistics and information through engaging and easy-to-understand content. The Omani characters, both portrayed as 12-year-old children, have been designed to serve as an interactive platform that simplifies statistical concepts and general knowledge for younger audiences while encouraging curiosity about data and information. The initiative forms part of the NCSI’s efforts to strengthen its visual identity and deliver modern educational content tailored to the interests and learning needs of younger generations. Mazen and Muzna embody Omani values, culture and behavior, helping children relate to the characters and enhancing the effectiveness of awareness messages. The launch aligns with the objectives of the NCSI Communication Strategy 2026–2030, which focuses on developing innovative communication tools and expanding outreach across different segments of society. The strategy seeks to promote data literacy and foster a culture of evidence-based understanding, particularly among children and young people. The characters and their names were inspired by the Centre’s core institutional values of partnership, accessibility, professionalism, knowledge management and transparency. Their development was intended to ensure consistency with the organisation’s identity while reinforcing these values through child-friendly content. The names also carry symbolic significance. Mazen is associated in Arabic with rain-bearing clouds and represent generosity and goodness, while Muzna refers to a cloud laden with rain, symbolising abundance and growth. Together, the names reflect the role of data and information in enriching knowledge and supporting informed decision-making. Through Mazen and Muzna, the NCSI aims to create an interactive learning experience using digital content, videos, educational activities and smart applications to help children understand the importance of data from an early age.﻿The centre expects the initiative to strengthen statistical awareness among children and encourage greater interest in numbers and data through an engaging blend of education and entertainment, supporting Oman’s digital transformation and the development of a knowledge-based society.
