​An atlas describing the Sultanate's demographic,social and economic indicators with the support of maps - Demographic Atlas of Economy 2018 – was released by the Centre.

The atlas elaborates on relative distribution of these indicators in different governorates of the Sultanate. The publication of atlas is part of NCSI's efforts to draw a clear picture of the diversity in the values of various indicators among different governorates in Oman.

The atlas has three main chapters. The first chapter shows a number of demographic indicators at the wilayat level, including the distribution of the Sultanate's population according to gender, nationality, total fertility rate, birth rate and mortality rate.

The second chapter of the atlas covers social indicators about employment, job seekers, education, health, social security and disability.

The third chapter describes the economic indicators on land planning and its use, construction permits and facilities operating in the Sultanate, hotels, fisheries, exports and imports.
