28.1% rise in number of visitors to Salalah tourism season 2018

بلغ إجمالي عدد زوار موسم صلالة السياحي 2018 (الفترة من 21 يونيو وحتى 21 سبتمبر) 826 ألفا و376 زائرا بارتفاع نسبته 28,1% عن زوار موسم 2017 الذين بلغ عددهم 644 ألفا و931 زائرا وفق ما بينت الإحصاءات الصادرة عن المركز.

وبينت الإحصاءات المستندة على نتائج مشروع حصر زوار موسم صلالة السياحي 2018م الذي ينفذه المركز أن نسبة الزوار الخليجيين بما فيهم العمانيين من إجمالي عدد زوار الموسم بلغت 90,6 % بعدد بلغ 748 ألفا و515 زائرا وبارتفاع نسبته 29,9% عن موسم 2017 الذي بلغ العدد فيه 576 ألفا و6 زوار تلاهم الزوار من الجنسيات الأسيوية الذين بلغ عددهم 48 ألفا و907 زوار ارتفاعا من 44 ألفا و801 زائر خلال موسم 2017. وبلغ عدد الزوار من الدول العربية الأخرى 22 ألفا و306 زوار فيما بلغ عدد الزوار من الدول الأوروبية 4 آلاف و293 زائرا، ومن الدول الأخرى بلغ عدد الزوار الفين و355 زائرا.

وبينت الإحصاءات أن 94,4% من زوار موسم صلالة السياحي جاؤوا لغرض الترفيه والترويح والعطلات بعدد بلغ 779 ألفا و703 زوار ارتفاعا من 604 آلاف و774 زائرا في موسم 2017 فيما توزعت الأعداد الباقية بين 12 ألفا و966 لزيارة الأهل والأصدقاء و23 ألفا و281 زائرا في رحلة عمل و10 آلاف و426 لأغراض أخرى.

كما بينت الإحصاءات أن 77,1% من زوار موسم صلالة السياحي هم من المقيمين في السلطنة حيث بلغ عددهم بعدد بلغ 637 ألفا و320 زائرا ارتفاعا من 500 ألف و112 زائرا في موسم 2017 فيما بلغ عدد الزوار من المقيمين خارج السلطنة 189 ألفا و56 زائرا ارتفاعا من 144 ألفا و819 زائرا في موسم 2017. وبينت الإحصاءات أن 79,5% من زوار موسم صلالة السياحي 2018 جاءوا عبر المنفذ البري بعدد بلغ 656 ألفا و853 زائرا بارتفاع نسبته 37,2% عن عدد الذين جاءوا عبر المنفذ البري خلال موسم 2017 والذين بلغ عددهم 478 ألفا و872 زائرا وقدم إلى محافظة ظفار عبر المنفذ الجوي خلال الموسم 169 ألفا و523 زائرا بارتفاع نسبته 2,1% عن موسم 2017 الذي بلغ العدد فيه 166 ألفا و59 زائرا. ومن بين القادمين عبر المنفذ الجوي خلال موسم 2018 جاء 122 ألفا و194 زائرا عبر الرحلات الداخلية و47 ألفا و329 زائرا عبر الرحلات الدولية.

وجاء العدد الأكبر من زوار موسم صلالة السياحي خلال الفترة من 1 وحتى 31 يوليو 2018 بعدد بلغ 393 ألاف و156 زائرا تلتها الفترة من 1 حتى 31 أغسطس بعدد بلغ 372 ألاف و998 زائرا فيما بلغ العدد خلال الفترة من 21 يونيو وحتى 30 يونيو 36 ألفا و456 زائرا وفي الفترة من 1 وحتى 21 سبتمبر 23 ألفا و766 زائرا.

The number of visitors to Salalah during the tourist season 2018, which was between June 21 and September 21, reached 826,376, recording a rise of 28.1% over the number of visitors of the season in 2017, when it was 644,931, according to statistics released by the Centre .

About 94.4% tourists visited Salalah for recreational and entertainment purposes, with their number reaching 779,703, which is an increase compared to 604,774 in 2017. As many as 12,966 tourists visited their relatives, families and friends; 23,281 were on business trip and 10,426 visited for other purposes. According to NCSI statistics, based on the results of the survey on the number visitors of the Salalah tourist season 2018, the percentage of Gulf visitors, including Omanis, reached 90.6%, with their total number at 748,515. It is a 29.9% increase over the number in 2017, when it was 576,006. They were followed by 48,907 Asian tourists, a significant increase compared to 44,801 in 2017 season. The number of tourists from other Arab countries was 22,306, while those from the European countries reached 4,293. The number of tourists from other countries was 2,355.

As per the NCSI data, 77.1% of visitors were residents of the Sultanate, reaching 637,320. This is a significant increase over 500,112 in 2017. The number of non-residents visiting Salalah tourism season 2018 reached 189,056, which is an increase compared to 1,819 visitors in 2017. The number of tourists who reached Salalah by land was 656,853, which is an increase of 37.2% against 478,872 visitors in 2017.According to the data, 169,523 tourists travelled to Dhofar governorate by air during the season, which is a rise of 2.1% compared to 2017, when it was 166,059. About 122,194 visitors reached Salalah traveled by domestic flights and 47,329 through international flights.

The largest number of visitors to the Salalah tourist season came during the period from July 1 to July 31, 2018, reaching 239,156. It was followed by the period between August 1 and August 31, with the total number reaching 372,998. The number during the period from June 21 June to June 30 was 36,456 and between September 1 and September 21 was 23,766.
