The National Competitiveness Office held a ceremony to honor the employees of the (NCCI) on November 13, 2018. This is in recognition of their efforts to improve the Sultanate's ranking in the Global Competitiveness Report 2018 released recently by the Economic Forum.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of HE Dr Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Barwani, Chief Executive Officer of the NCSI, and a member of the Competitiveness Committee. Speaking at the occasion, Al Barwani said: "This is in appreciation of the efforts made by the employees of the centre to improve the Sultanate's ranking in the Global Competitiveness Report 2018. The NCSI employees offered their best abilities and skills where they were required.

He lauded the Sultanate's progress in the Global Competitiveness Report 2018. He remarked that it was an addition to the achievements of the Blessed Renaissance. It is a progress which is highest in the world in terms of the index value of 3.4 points. He added that this report showed the remarkable performance level achieved by the Sultanate this year.
