The total value of real estate trading in the Sultanate of Oman , till the end of July 2023,increased by 16.8% , recording value of RO (1,626.4) billion, compared to RO (1,392.4) billion during the same period of 2022, according to preliminary statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The statistic shows that, the fees collected for all legal transactions related to real estate trading, till the end of July 2023, amounted to RO (38.3) million, up by 10.9%, compared to the same period of last year 2022, while the traded value of sales contracts reached to RO (619) million ,against (38,440) thousand contracts of sales, with a decrease in the sales value by 10%, and a decrease in the number of contracts by 4.2%.
The traded value of mortgage contracts increased by 44.1%, reached to RO (1, 1.7) billion for a number of (14.29) contracts, while the number of swap contracts reached (840) contracts, with a value of RO (5.9) million.
The number of properties deeds issued by the end of July 2023 reached to ( 137.8)thousand properties deeds , up by 4.9%, while the number of properties deeds issued to the citizens of other GCC countries ,reached to (751) properties deeds , increasing by 91.6 % .
