Number of flights through Sultanate's airports by end of March 2024 reaches 27,802

MUSCAT The total number of passengers through the airports of the Sultanate of Oman by the end of March 2024 reached 3,840,354 passengers. Meanwhile, the total number of flights landing and departing from the airports of the Sultanate of Oman by the end of March 2024 reached 27,802 flights, according to preliminary statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information.

The number of passengers through Muscat International Airport by the end of March 2024 reached about 3,482,325 passengers, an increase of 17.7%, of which 3,232,076 were international passengers and 250,249 were domestic passengers. The number of flights through Muscat International Airport by the end of March 2024 reached 25,204 flights, of which 23,237 were international flights and 1,967 were domestic flights.

Indians topped the number of passengers through Muscat International Airport by the end of March 2024, with 79,810 passenger arrivals and 77,646 passenger departures, followed by Bangladeshi nationality with 14,469 incoming passengers, 20,909 departing passengers, and Pakistani nationality with 24,097 arriving passengers and 20,191 departing passengers.

The number of passengers through Salalah Airport reached 325,035 passengers, an increase of 6.7%, who traveled on board 2,288 flights, an increase in flights by 4.8%. The number of international flights through Salalah Airport reached 1,218 flights, carrying 162,651 passengers, while the number of domestic flights reached 1,070 flights, with 162,384 passengers on board.

The number of passengers through Sohar Airport reached 17,462 passengers on 154 flights, while the number of passengers through Duqm Airport reached 15,532 passengers on 156 flights.
