The total number of passengers travelling through the airports of the Sultanate of Oman by the end of May 2024 increased by 14.3%, reaching 5,968,563 passengers on 44,712 flights, compared to 5,223,962 passengers on 40,257 flights at the end May 2023, according to preliminary statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.

The number of passengers through Muscat International Airport by the end of May 2024 reached about 5,394,766 passengers, an increase of 14.3%, of which 4,981,179 were international passengers and 413,587 were domestic passengers. The number of flights through Muscat International Airport by the end of May 2024 reached 40,322 flights, of which 36,955 were international flights and 3,367 were domestic flights.

Indians topped the number of passengers through Muscat International Airport by the end of May 2024, with 84,915 passenger arrivals and 91,011 passenger departures, followed by Omani passengers reaching 92,498 passengers, including (46,876 arriving passengers and 45,622 departing passengers), and Pakistani nationality with 26,176 arriving passengers and 19,437 departing passengers.

The number of passengers through Salalah Airport reached 522,224 passengers, recording an increase of 10.9%, who traveled on board 3,904 flights, recording an increase in flights by 9.2%, compared to the end of May 2023.

The number of International flights via Salalah Airport reached 2,054 flights, carrying 255,381 passengers, while the number of domestic flights via the same airport reached 1,850 flights, with 266,843 passengers on board.

The number of passengers through Sohar Airport reached 25,898 passengers on 226 flights, while the number of passengers through Duqm Airport reached 25,675 passengers on 260 flights.
