The value of real estate transactions in the Sultanate of Oman rise by 0.5% to RO 1,409.6 million till the end of June 2024, compared to RO 1,402.5 million in the same period of 2023, according to the latest data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
According to Preliminary statistics issued by NCSI, fees collected for legal transactions amounted to RO 32.3 million till the end of June 2024, decreased by 3.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
The value of sale contracts reached RO 545.6 million till the end of June 2024, and the number of sale contracts decreased by 0.9% to 32,596 compared to 32,907 in the same period of 2023.
The traded value of mortgage contracts rise by 0.5% till the end of June 2024 to RO 856.7 million compared to RO 852.1 million during the same period of 2023. Meanwhile, the number of mortgage contracts decreased by 16.9% to 10,028 contracts from 12,062 contracts in the same period of 2023.
The traded contracts of barter contracts rise by 52% to RO 7.3 million till the end of June 2024 compared to RO 4.8 million in the same period of 2023. The number of barter contracts decreased by 8.3% to reach 671 contracts till the end of June 2024 compared to 732 contracts in June 2023.
The number of properties issued by the end of June 2024 decreased by 7% to 109,666 whereas the number of properties issued for GCC states citizens rise by 5.2% to 666 compared to 633 till the end of June 2023.
