His Excellency Dr. Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Barwani, CEO of The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), headed the delegation participating in the 49th session's meetings of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistic, which held in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period of 21st to 22nd October 2024.

This meeting agenda discussed a number of issues, including the Institute's budget and activities for the years of 2025 and 2026 in accordance with the needs of statistical authorities.

The meeting also highlighted the initiatives of the partner organizations and ways of cooperation to organize joint activities.

His Excellency also headed the Sultanate of Oman's delegation participating in the meetings of the Statistical Committee of The  Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) , which held in Manama during the period of  22nd  to 23rd October 2024.

The ESCWA meetings discussed the future of statistical work in the Arab region, the outputs of the fifty-fifth session of the United Nations Statistical Committee, and the results of the evaluation of previous sessions of the Statistical Committee. The meeting also adopted the recommendations of the sixteenth session of the Statistical Committee.
