The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), in cooperation with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, is implementing a survey on the beneficiaries' satisfaction with telecommunications services in terms using mobile phones and fixed -lines phones.
The survey kicked-off since 29th October 2024, and will last to 28th November 024 in two phases. It includes two phase, the first phase for mobile phones and the second one is for fixed phones.
The survey aims to provide statistical indicators on beneficiaries' satisfaction with the level of telecommunications services for mobile phones and fixed phones in the Sultanate of Oman, by identifying beneficiaries' impressions about the level of coverage and network efficiency.
It also aims to identify the subscribers 'impression on the applied prices billing, and the mechanism of operators' dealing with beneficiaries' complaints and their requests, in order to contribute to enable the decision-makers to update legislative and regulatory frameworks that take into account the interests of beneficiaries and enhance their confidence in the services provided in the sector.
The survey also measures the level of satisfaction with the services provided by the operators, the users' satisfaction with the physical facilities, equipment, employees' services and the electronic applications of service providers.
The sample size for each stage includes a number of 2,500 beneficiaries of citizens and residents aged 18 years and above, across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, where male and female representation was taken into account in terms of society, age groups and different educational levels..
The survey data is being collected via telephone calls in Arabic, English and Urdu languages, during official working hours through the telephone number: 24070515.
It is worth noting that all data will be confidential, in accordance with Article NO (11) in the Statistics and Information Law, issued by Royal Decree No. (55/2019), which stipulates: "All individual data that is related to any statistics shall be considered confidential in accordance with the provisions of this Law. This data may not be published except in a composite form. It is prohibited to share them neither with any individual, governmental or non-governmental entity, nor to use them but for the statistical purposes.
