The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) began on Sunday, 3rd November 2024, conducting a public opinion poll to measure satisfaction with the government communication system.
The opinion poll, which will last until November 21st, aims to identify citizens' satisfaction with the government communication system, to contribute to providing decision-makers with data necessary for improving it, and empower it to play its role as one of the most important reliable sources of news.
The opinion poll targets a representative sample of 1,500 Omani citizens aged 18 and above, across the Governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, where it ensures demographic inclusivity, reflecting diverse age groups, genders, and education levels. Its data is collected by telephone, via an electronic questionnaire.
It is worth noting that all data will be confidential, by Article NO (11) in the Statistics and Information Law, issued by Royal Decree No. (55/2019), which stipulates: "All individual data that is related to any statistics shall be considered confidential in accordance with the provisions of this Law. This data may not be published except in a composite form. It is prohibited to share them neither with any individual, governmental or non-governmental entity nor to use them but for statistical purposes.
