The revenues of 3-5-star hotels in Oman stood at RO 186,098 million till the end of October 2024, up by 5% compared to the same period in 2023.
Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) show that the total number of hotel guests increase by 5% to 1,717,512 guests till the end of October 2024, compared to 1,635,041 guests during the corresponding period in 2023. Meanwhile, hotel occupancy rate registered a growth of 1.3%.
According to the NCSI report, among nationalities, Omanis topped the number of guests in hotels, with their numbers reaching 668,251. As many as 392,767 were European guests (an increase of 8.8%), and 250,903 were Asian guests' citizens (up by 4.5%).
The number of guests from GCC countries fell by 0.8% to 170,193, and the number of guests from Oceanian countries fell by 31.2% to 24,517 guests, whereas the number of African guests rose by 5.4% to reach 10,074.
