The value of real estate transactions in the Sultanate of Oman increase by 30.1% to RO 2,943 million till the end of October 2024, compared to RO 2,261.8 million in the same period of 2023, according to the latest data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
According to preliminary statistics issued by NCSI, fees collected for legal transactions amounted to RO 56.7 million till the end of October 2024, an increase of 2.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
The traded value of sale contracts reached RO 913.4 million till the end of October 2024, and the number of sale contracts increase by 2.1% to 56,259, compared to 55,128 in the same period of 2023.
The value of mortgage contracts increases by 47.9% till the end of October 2024 to RO 2,018 million compared to RO 1,364 million during the same period of 2023. Meanwhile, the number of mortgage contracts decrease by 13.2% to 17,187 contracts from 19,800 contracts in the same period of 2023.
The traded value of barter contracts increases by 19.3% to RO 11.7 million till the end of October 2024 compared to RO 9.8 million in the same period of 2023. The number of barter contracts decrease by 4% to reach 1,135 contracts till the end of October 2024 compared to 1,182 contracts in October 2023.
The number of properties issued by the end of October 2024 decrease by 3.3% to 191,871, whereas the number of properties issued to citizens of GCC countries increase by 8.3% to 1,209 compared to 1,116 till the end of October 2023.
