GDP at current prices rises by 2.7% at the end of the Q3 2024

The gross domestic product at current prices of the Sultanate of Oman recorded an increase of 2.7% by the end of the third quarter of 2024 to reach (at market price) RO 30,642.0 billion, compared to the end of the third quarter of 2023, during which the gross domestic product at current prices amounted to 29,845.4 billion, according to Primary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.

Petroleum activities increased by 0.3%, recording RO 10,766.2 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2024, compared to OMR 10,728.9 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2023, with the contribution of oil activities reaching 35%. Petroleum oil activities recorded RO 9,120.3 billion, down by 0.1%, and natural gas activities increased by 3%, recording RO 1,645.9 billion.

Total non-petroleum activities increased by 4.2%, recording RO 20,974.9 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2024, compared to RO 20,120.4 billion at the end of the corresponding quarter of 2023.

Total industrial activities increased by 5.4%, recorded RO 6,095.4 billion compared to 5,783.2 billion at the end of the third quarter of 2023, while agriculture, forestry and fishing activities increased by 9.7%, recorded RO 807.6 million, and service activities recorded RO 14,071.8 billion.
