The GDP at constant prices of the Sultanate of Oman recorded an increase of 1.9% at the end of the third quarter of 2024, reaching (at market price) RO 28,146.2 billion, compared to the end of the third quarter of 2023, during which the GDP at constant prices amounted to RO 27,632.4 billion, according to primary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
Petroleum activities decreased by 2.8%, recording RO 8,881.0 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2024, compared to RO 9,133.4 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2023, and the contribution of oil activities amounted to 31.6%. Crude petroleum activities recorded RO 7,479.2 billion, a decrease of 4.1%, while natural gas activities increased by 4.7%, recording RO 1,401.9 billion. Total non-Petroleum activities increased by 4.2%, recording RO 20,527.5 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2024, compared to RO 19,706.7 billion at the end of the corresponding quarter of 2023.
Total industrial activities increased by 5.6%, recording RO 6,220.2 billion compared to RO 5,889.9 billion at the end of the third quarter of 2023, while agriculture, forestry and fishing activities increased by 5.3%, recording RO 735.7 million, and service activities recorded RO 13,571.6 billion.
