The total added value of private enterprises in the Sultanate of Oman amounted to about RO 8.5 billion for the third quarter of 2024, according to statistics in the monthly bulletin issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The contribution of active enterprises to the GDP at current prices for the third quarter of 2024 was about 82%, compared to 81.4% for the third quarter of 2023.
The added value of large enterprises amounted to RO 6,279.0 billion, representing a rate of 60.5%, which is an increase of 4.3% compared to the same quarter of the previous year, while the added value of medium enterprises amounted to RO 665.8 million, or a rate of 6.4%, which was an increase of 3%.
The added value of small enterprises amounted to RO 716 million, representing a rate of 6.9%, which is an increase of 3.2%. The total value added of micro enterprises amounted to RO 851.1 million, representing a rate of 8.2%, an increase of 3.9%.
It is worth noting that the number of workers in active private institutions in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 0.6%, recording 1,804,547 workers during the third quarter of 2024, compared to 1,792,932 workers during the third quarter of 2023.
Meanwhile, the total number of enterprises reached 260,780 for the third quarter of 2024, with an increase of 12.1% compared to the same period in 2023.
