The general index of residential real estate prices in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 7.3% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, according to statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The index of residential land prices recorded an increase of 6.5%, the index of residential apartment prices increased by 17%, the index of villa prices increased by 6.4%, and the index of other homes prices increased by 2.2%.
The general index of residential real estate prices recorded an increase of 5.5% in first quarter 2025 compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, as the index of residential land prices recorded an increase of 5.5%, the index of residential apartments increased by 4.3%, the index of villas increased by 4.5% and the price of other homes increased by 13.4%.
In the first quarter of 2025, compared to the same quarter in 2024, the residential land value index showed a decline in several governorates.
In Al Buraymi Governorate registered the largest decline in residential land prices at 35.1%, followed by Adh Dhahirah Governorate with a decrease of 25.3%, then Al Wusta Governorate at 20.4%. Ad Dakhliyah Governorate also recorded a decline of 3.7%, while Al Sharqiyah North Governorate showed a slight drop of 0.8%.
On the other hand, Muscat Governorate recorded growth in residential land prices at 17.4%, followed by Musandam Governorate at 12.8%, Al Batinah North Governorate at 7.3%, Al Batinah South Governorate at 6.1%, and Dhofar Governorate at 6.0%, while Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate showed an increase of 3.4%.
