Visitor numbers to Khareef Dhofar's season 2025, recorded a 7% increase in forty-one days (Between the period of 21 June and 31 July 2025), reaching a total of 442,100 visitors compared to 413,122 during the same period in 2024, according to preliminary estimates issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
Omani nationals accounted for the majority of visitors at 75.6%, reaching (334,399) visitors, followed by visitors from GCC countries at 15.8% reaching (69,801) visitors, while the other nationalities represented 8.6%, recording (37,900) visitors.
Compared to the same period in 2024, when the Omanis numbered 305,070 visitors, visitors from GCC countries totaled 66,998, and other nationalities accounted for 41,054 visitors.
The statistics also showed a 10.9% increase in visitors arriving by air flights, compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 107,254 visitors, up from 96,688 visitors in 2024. Meanwhile, the number of visitors entering via land borders rose to 334,846, compared to 316,434 visitors during the same period last year, representing an increase by 5.8%.
In terms of visitor distribution based on the time period, July 2025 accounted for the largest share, representing 95.3% of total visitors, with 421,506 arrivals. This represents a 7% increase compared to the same period in 2024, which recorded 393,829 visitors.
The period from 21 to 30 June 2025 saw the arrival of 20,594 visitors, recording a growth of 6.7% compared to 19,293 visitors during the same period last year, reflecting a continued increase in visitor turnout since the start of the season.
Khareef Dhofar's season remains one of Oman's most prominent tourism events, known for its exceptional climate and stunning natural scenery that attract visitors from within the Sultanate and abroad.
